We are proactive construction partners, known for our honesty, integrity and can-do attitude

Our history

We started in 1910 as two family-run building companies in Dunedin, which merged in 1969 to form Naylor Love. We are proud of our heritage, which has been built around a commitment to building long-term relationships and a policy of continuous improvement.

Still New Zealand owned and operated, we now have over 700 staff in eight offices, with the expertise, capacity and support structure to undertake projects anywhere in the country.

Our team

We’ve got a great team of dedicated professionals with an incredible range of experience and an absolute passion for construction. Our team value the supportive culture at Naylor Love and the many opportunities for on-going professional development – and the strong relationships they form along the way.

Health, Safety and Sustainability

Naylor Love has an excellent reputation for prioritising health and safety on our sites, with innovative health and safety systems and consistently excellent results in safety audits and inspections. We have also made a genuine and profound commitment to be a leader in sustainable construction practices and a champion of sustainable construction products in New Zealand. We have undertaken to reduce our carbon footprint 25% by 2025 and 46% by 2030.

Diversity

Naylor Love is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion across all areas of our business.

We are a member of Diversity Works New Zealand, the national body for workplace diversity and inclusion, and share their commitment to creating workplaces with fair, reasonable and flexible employment practices which enable people to flourish and perform at their best.

We are also platinum sponsors of the National Association of Women in Construction NZ, who encourage women to pursue, establish and sustain successful careers in the construction industry.

Our culture

The team at Naylor Love has developed a workplace culture closely aligned to our company values.  An important part of our commitment to maintaining our company culture is seeking everyone’s feedback in our annual staff survey, which gives our entire workforce an opportunity to have their say.

Our senior management use the survey results to make sure that we keep doing what we do well, and to identify key focus areas. Very high levels of participation in the survey every year show that the team at Naylor Love know that their feedback helps to drive genuine change within the organisation.

Our values

Our company values act as a reference point for everything we do at Naylor Love. We are committed to demonstrating our values when interacting with each other, our customers, our suppliers and the community.
